ABOUT ME
Hi everyone and welcome to my academic page! My name is Ngoc /knock/ Nguyen; and I am a second-year PhD Student at the University of California, Berkeley (Department of Environmental Science, Policy, and Management), advised by Dr. Trevor Keenan. I am an international student from Vietnam, and I obtained my B.S. Degree in Environmental Science at the University of Denver in 2021 (Mathematics and Leadership Studies minors). I am deeply in love with the carbon cycle and studying its dynamics under climate variability. I am interested in modeling, partitioning, and upscaling Ecosystem Respiration (Reco) from eddy-covariance towers using large datasets from remote sensing and flux observations. Reco is such an important component of the carbon cycle, which helps us better understand the carbon uptake potential of vegetation and soil and how effective they are as natural-based climate solutions.
